Business forums as a way to negotiate

 

The crisis in the food industry is not over, so think about 70% of the Russian food market’s participants (according to analysis of Ernst&Young). In addition to drought, fires and crop failures last year had been marked by a number of other events that impacted the food industry.

These include the consolidation in beverages and dairy products’ production, a significant legislative activity in the areas which directly or indirectly affect the food market, changes of consumer behavior that is productive of change in the structure of retail sales and assortment policy among the manufacturers as well as among the retail.

The market participants revise or adjust the development of their companies’ strategies and expect an increase in the rate of growth of consumer demand in the future.

The magazine “Food Promotion. Prod&Prod” informs all participants of the food business about the activities of its partner Congress and Exposition Company the EMPIRE.

One of these events – is The Third All-Russia Business Forum “The Russian Food Market and the Federal Trade Act”, will take place at the World Trade Center, in Moscow, in October 2011. The first persons the Russian and state food business will gather to discuss the key issues of the Russian food market, as well as a package of amendments which the Ministry of Industry introduced for implication to the profile working group, headed by The First Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Zubkov.

The main aims of the All-Russian Forum are:

  • To develop jointly and to discuss strategic challenges for manufacturers and suppliers on 2011;

  • To analyze a package of amendments to the law through a dialogue with leaders of relevant ministries, deputies and senators who work with them;

  • To learn a new assortment policy of the market leaders – the representatives of retailers and suppliers;

  • To understand what actions can cause penalties at the hands of regulatory authorities;

  • To hear the legal and economic interpretation of the disputed statutory provision from the legal advisers and analysts;

The participants of the Forum:

Government members, deputies of the State Duma, representatives of the Federation Council, the Ministry of Agriculture, Industry and Trade Ministry, the Federal Antimonopoly Service, the Moscow government, leaders of enterprises the Russian consumer market, the owners of the international, federal and regional retailers, members of the Russian Chamber of Commerce, professional associations AINR (alliance of independent networks in Russia), Association of Producers and suppliers of food products, etc.

The main trend of the Company Empire’s activities is within limits of the event to give the manufacturers and suppliers to find a civilized ways to resolve contentious issues and to work the next steps of business development.
